In April 2025, Belgium experienced a significant rebound in construction output, increasing by 6.7% year-on-year. This follows a revised decline of 6.5% in the prior month. The growth was widespread across various sectors, including building construction, which rose by 4.5% compared to a decrease of 9.1% in March, civil engineering with a 5.8% upswing following a 6.6% fall, and specialized construction activities, which went up by 6.6% after a 5.0% downturn. On a seasonally adjusted monthly comparison, construction activity saw an increase of 1.8% in April, effectively overturning the 0.8% decline observed in March.
