Taiwan's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate slightly declined to 3.34% in May 2025, down from 3.36% in April. This represents the lowest unemployment rate since November 2000. The number of unemployed individuals dropped by 1,000, bringing the total to 402,000, while overall employment saw an increase of 7,000, reaching 11.623 million. The unemployment rate among young job seekers, aged 20 to 24, decreased to a four-month low of 11.14%, down from 11.30% in the preceding month. Concurrently, the labor force participation rate experienced a slight uptick to 59.37% in May, up from 59.34% in April.
