On Tuesday, India's BSE Sensex saw a modest increase, closing approximately 0.2% higher at 82,055.1. Initially bolstered by President Trump's announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, the market experienced early gains as optimism grew and oil prices decreased. However, the emergence of new reports indicating continued violations dampened sentiment, causing a retreat from those initial advances. In terms of corporate performance, notable gainers included Adani Ports, Tata Steel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Finserv, and Titan, each experiencing gains between 0.7% and 2.9%. Conversely, Power Grid, Trent, NTPC, Maruti, HCL Tech, and Bharat Electronics led the pack of decliners, with losses reaching up to 1.5%.
