In May 2025, Bulgaria witnessed a 7.2% rise in producer prices compared to the previous year, a deceleration from April's 12.3% increase. This represented the seventh successive month of rising producer prices, yet it was the most modest growth recorded since December 2024. The slowdown impacted all sub-indices, including mining and quarrying, which grew by 22.7% down from April's 24%, electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply, which increased by 18.9% as opposed to 39.9% in April, and manufacturing, which rose by 8.1%, down from 9.2%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices experienced a 2.1% decline in May, following a steeper 4.4% decrease in the previous month.
