Dutch Manufacturing Activity Recovers in June

In June 2025, the Nevi Netherlands Manufacturing PMI climbed to 51.2, up from 49 in May, indicating a rebound in manufacturing conditions after three consecutive months of contraction. This recovery was driven by a surge in new business, marking the fastest growth in over a year and the first since February, due to robust domestic and international demand. Notably, new export orders increased for the first time since May 2024. In line with this growth, the manufacturing sector experienced a slight rise in employment for the first time in nearly a year, prompting an expansion of the workforce. On the pricing side, input cost inflation slowed further in June, showing the smallest increase in seven months. However, this was primarily due to rising expenses in foodstuff prices. Looking forward, Dutch manufacturers are increasingly optimistic about the future, buoyed by expectations of heightened export demand, further investments, company growth, and new product launches.
