Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate experienced a slight increase to 5.8% in May 2025, compared to April's four-month low of 5.7%. The total number of unemployed individuals rose by 3,100 from the previous month, reaching 470,500. In terms of gender, the unemployment rate for men decreased slightly to 5.9% from 6% in April, whereas for women, it inched up to 5.6% from the previous 5.5%.
