North Macedonia experienced a rise in its annual inflation rate to 4.5% in June 2025, up from 3.3% in May, representing the highest level since February. The increase was primarily driven by escalating prices in several sectors: food and non-alcoholic beverages climbed to 6.3% from 4.9% in May; recreation and culture rose to 5.6% from 5%; prices at restaurants and hotels slightly decreased to 7.6% from 7.8%; and alcoholic beverages and tobacco inched down to 5.9% from 5.95%. On a month-to-month comparison, consumer prices saw an increase of 0.8% in June, following a larger rise of 1.5% in the previous month.
