In contrast, inflation showed an uptick in specific areas such as restaurants and hotels, with an increase to 3.29% from 3.23%, healthcare rising to 2.06% from 1.67%, and housing and utilities climbing to 2.34%, up from 2.31%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices rose by 0.32% in June, indicating an acceleration from the modest 0.11% increase observed in May.
