U.S. stock futures experienced a slight decline on Tuesday after President Donald Trump announced revised tariff rates affecting 14 countries currently without trade agreements with the United States. These updated measures impose a 25% tariff on significant exporting nations including Japan, South Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Serbia, Indonesia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, and Tunisia. Additionally, President Trump signed an executive order extending the deadline for the implementation of reciprocal tariffs to August 1, shifting from the previous date of July 9. This decision followed consultations with senior administration officials. Further intensifying the trade situation, the President warned of an impending 10% tariff on countries he accused of supporting what he labeled as the "Anti-American policies of BRICS," referring to the ongoing summit in Brazil. During Monday's standard trading session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased by 0.94%, the S&P 500 lost 0.79%, and the Nasdaq Composite fell by 0.92%.
