Czechia Forex Reserves at Over 3-Year High

In June 2025, the Czech Republic's foreign exchange reserves rose impressively to $161.1 billion, a notable increase from the adjusted figure of $159.1 billion in May. This marks the highest level since May 2022, highlighting a continuous strengthening of the nation's reserve assets. The growth was largely propelled by a surge in foreign currency reserves, which increased to $150.2 billion, up from $147.7 billion in the previous month. Additionally, gold reserves saw a modest rise, reaching $6.5 billion compared to $6.4 billion in May. In contrast, reserves held in special drawing rights (SDRs) remained steady at $3.5 billion, as did the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reserve position, which held firm at $0.8 billion.
