In May 2025, Finland recorded a current account surplus of 148 million euros. This marks a significant turnaround from the deficit of 104 million euros experienced in the same month the previous year. The surplus in the goods account expanded to 778 million euros, up from 669 million euros a year prior. Additionally, the primary income account shifted from a deficit of 42 million euros to a surplus of 83 million euros. Meanwhile, the services account deficit decreased to 466 million euros compared to 509 million euros the year before. However, the secondary income deficit increased to 247 million euros, up from 222 million euros.
