In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan's economy experienced a year-on-year expansion of 1.5%, sustaining the growth momentum of the January–May period, yet marking a deceleration from the 4.3% increase observed during the same timeframe last year. The non-oil and gas sector experienced a growth of 3.9%, contrasting with a 3.1% contraction in the oil and gas sector. Analyzing the production facets, the primary contributors to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth included the industrial sector at 34.9%, trade and vehicle repair at 10.2%, transportation and warehousing at 7%, and construction at 6.3%.
