In June 2025, Switzerland experienced a 0.7% year-on-year decline in producer and import prices, maintaining the same rate as in the previous month. This marks the 26th consecutive period of decrease and remains the most significant drop since December 2024, fueled by continued declines in import costs (-2.8% compared to -2.9% in May). Additionally, the growth in producer prices slowed to 0.3% from 0.4% seen in the previous month. On a month-to-month basis, producer and import prices decreased by 0.1%, countering expectations of a 0.2% rise, and showing improvement from the previous month's 0.4% decline. The primary driver of this decrease was lower petroleum prices, although food products, petroleum, and natural gas costs saw an uptick.
