In June 2025, the Czech Republic experienced a 0.7% decrease in producer prices year-on-year. This represents a slight improvement from the 0.8% decline seen the previous month and surpasses market predictions of a 0.5% drop. This period marks the fifth consecutive month of deflation in producer prices, though the rate of contraction has moderated. Specifically, the decline in the mining and quarrying sector has eased to -3.9% from May's -4.2%, while the manufacturing sector saw a price increase of 0.3% after remaining flat in the previous period. Conversely, prices for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning continued their downward trend, falling by 3.7% compared to a 3.5% decrease the month before. Prices remained unchanged for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services, holding steady at 4.1%. Month-on-month, there was a 0.2% fall in producer prices, following a 0.6% decline in the preceding month.
