In June 2025, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in the Netherlands remained stable at 3.8% for the third month in a row. The number of unemployed individuals increased by 1,000, reaching a total of 386,000, while the employment figure dipped slightly to 9.832 million. The labor force participation rate was consistent, holding at 76.1%. During this timeframe, unemployment benefits experienced a decline of 3,000, bringing the total to 183,600. The most significant reductions in benefits were observed among young individuals under the age of 25, which fell by 3.7%, and those aged 25 to 35, which decreased by 2.7%. When compared to the previous year, the unemployment rate had risen by 0.2 percentage points from the 3.6% recorded in June 2024.
