Kazakhstan witnessed a 7.2% year-on-year increase in industrial production as of June 2025, an acceleration from the previous month’s 5.8% rise. This represents the most significant uplift in three months, primarily fueled by enhanced output in the mining and quarrying sectors (11.8% compared to 10.4% in May) as well as manufacturing (3.1% compared to 1.2%). Conversely, the growth in production for electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning slowed to 2.8% from 6.3%. Meanwhile, water supply, waste collection and treatment, and pollution management activities continued to decline, albeit at a reduced rate (-0.8% compared to -6.1%). On a monthly comparison, industrial output increased by 2.7%, recovering from a 1.1% decrease experienced in May. Overall, from January to June, industrial activity showed a 6.5% increase compared to the same period the previous year.
