In June 2025, Moldova experienced a 5.3% year-on-year increase in producer prices, marking the highest rate since September 2023 and slightly surpassing the 5.0% rise recorded in the previous month. This increase was primarily fueled by accelerated price growth within the manufacturing sector, which saw a rise of 3.0% compared to the previous 2.8%. Conversely, this upward trend was somewhat mitigated by more moderate price hikes in the mining and quarrying sector, where prices increased by 12.4% compared to May's 12.7%, and in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sector, which saw prices rise by 25.0% as opposed to the previous rate of 25.4%. Month-over-month, producer prices advanced by 0.3% in June, a slower pace than the 1.6% increase registered in May.
