In May 2025, Colombia's principal economic indicator experienced a 2.8% increase compared to the same month the previous year, rising from April's 1.14%. This growth was largely attributed to a robust showing from the services sector, which expanded by 4.23%, an improvement from the previous rate of 2.6%. Meanwhile, the industrial sector saw a contraction of 0.86%, although this represents a slower rate of decline than the 3.89% drop observed in April. Additionally, the primary sector decreased by 0.78%, marking a less significant decline compared to the 1.71% reduction recorded in the preceding month. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the indicator slightly decreased by 0.06%, following a substantial 1.57% rise in April.
