The nation has set an objective to maintain a surveyed unemployment rate around 5.5% throughout the year and is aiming to create more than 12 million new urban jobs. As of June, the surveyed unemployment rate in China remained steady at 5.0%, the lowest it has been since November of the previous year. Similarly, in 31 major cities, the urban surveyed unemployment rate was recorded at 5.0%.
