US Crude Oil Inventories Fall More than Expected: EIA

In the week concluding on July 18, 2025, the United States witnessed a reduction in crude oil inventories by 3.169 million barrels, exceeding market forecasts of a 1.6 million barrel decrease, as reported by the EIA Petroleum Status Report. Conversely, inventories at the Cushing, Oklahoma delivery hub increased by 455,000 barrels. Within refined fuels, gasoline inventories fell by 1.738 million barrels, whereas distillate fuel stocks saw an increase of 2.931 million barrels.
