In the first quarter of 2025, the average gross monthly earnings for employees in Cyprus experienced a 5.4% increase compared to the same period last year, reaching EUR 2,509. This follows a 5% increase reported in the prior period. Specifically, wages for female employees rose by 5.5%, amounting to EUR 2,284, while wages for male employees grew by 5.2% to EUR 2,689. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, and after adjusting for seasonality, wages increased by 1.4%, building on a 1.2% rise in the preceding quarter.
