In June 2025, mainland France saw a decline in the number of registered unemployed individuals, dropping by 21,600 to a total of 2.98 million. This represents the lowest figure since December 2024. The decrease was observed across various demographics: the core working-age population decreased by 13,700 to 1.716 million, individuals over 50 years of age fell by 4,800 to 790,800, and those under 25 years declined by 3,700 to 474,100. However, on a year-over-year basis, the number of registered unemployed individuals increased by 158,400.
