In June 2025, Saudi Arabia's industrial production surged by 7.9% compared to the previous year, significantly accelerating from a revised growth rate of 2.6% in May. This expansion was chiefly fueled by an impressive 11.1% rise in manufacturing output, with notable contributions from the chemicals and chemical products sector, which soared by 18.7%, and the coke and refined petroleum products sector, which grew by 15.3%. Furthermore, mining and quarrying activities increased by 6.0%, in line with a rise in the country's oil production to 9.36 million barrels per day, up from 8.83 million barrels in June 2024. The water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation sectors also saw substantial growth at 6.9%, while the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector experienced a 5.6% increase. On a month-to-month basis, industrial output rose by 1.6%, following an upwardly revised increase of 3.4% in May.
