In July 2025, Senegal experienced a noteworthy increase in its annual inflation rate, reaching 1.8%, compared to 0.8% in June. The clothing and footwear sector saw a slight decline in prices by 0.1%, as opposed to a minor increase of 0.1%. Moreover, the decrease in the prices for information and communication was less pronounced, at -3.0%, compared to -4.5% previously. When energy and fresh products are excluded, the core index showcased a 4.0% year-on-year rise, up from a 2.8% increase in June.
