In June, Lithuania's current account surplus expanded to EUR 475.86 million, an increase from a revised EUR 416.30 million in the same month the previous year. This represents the largest surplus since December 2020. The main driver of this growth was a reduction in the goods account deficit, which narrowed to EUR 362.22 million from EUR 441.45 million in June of the prior year. Additionally, the secondary income account turned a deficit of EUR 1.38 million into a surplus of EUR 34.86 million. However, the services account surplus experienced a decline, falling to EUR 905.55 million from EUR 960.79 million a year before. Simultaneously, the primary income shortfall increased slightly, amounting to EUR 102.33 million, up from EUR 101.66 million.
