On Wednesday, the Baltic Exchange's dry bulk sea freight index, which monitors the rates for transporting dry commodities, ended its two-day decline with a slight increase of approximately 0.4%, reaching 2,025 points. The capesize index, responsible for carrying cargoes of around 150,000 tons such as iron ore and coal, also ended its two-day downturn with a 0.6% rise to 3,280 points. The supramax index saw its ninth consecutive session of gains, advancing by 0.5% to 1,336 points. In contrast, the panamax index, typically used for shipments of 60,000 to 70,000 tons of coal or grain, continued its losing streak for a fourth consecutive day, dipping by 0.1% to its lowest level since July 8, settling at 1,594 points.
