Colombia experienced a notable surge in consumer confidence in July 2025, reaching 5.3%—a significant increase of 3.1 percentage points from June's 2.2%. This upswing was largely propelled by a 5.6-point rise in the Economic Conditions Index, which hit 5.4%, alongside a 1.4-point boost in the Consumer Expectations Index, now at 5.2%. Confidence saw an upswing in four out of five urban areas and in one socioeconomic group. The propensity to purchase housing showed improvement, purchases of durable goods held steady, while vehicle purchases saw a decline. When compared to the second quarter of 2025, there was an enhancement in consumer confidence, the willingness to acquire durable goods, and the evaluation of both household and national economic conditions. On a year-on-year basis, the Consumer Confidence Index climbed by 14.3 points, up from -9.0% in July 2024.
