FX.co ★ Estonian Jobless Rate Climbs to 7.8% in Q2

In the first quarter of 2025, Estonia experienced a rise in its unemployment rate, reaching 7.8%, up from 5.8% during the same period the previous year. The number of unemployed individuals increased by 1,400, bringing the total to 59,200. The unemployment rate among men was 8.4%, while for women, it stood at 7.2%. During this time, the employment rate declined to 68.9%, down from 69.7%, as the number of employed individuals dropped by 9,200 to 697,300. Additionally, the labor force participation rate fell slightly to 74.8%, compared to 75.4% a year earlier.
