Czech Producer Prices Drop More than Expected

In July 2025, Czech Republic producer prices saw a year-on-year decrease of 1.2%, surpassing both market expectations and the 0.7% decline recorded in June. This represented the sixth consecutive month of declining producer prices, primarily driven by reduced costs in the sectors of mining and quarrying, which fell by 4.2%, down from June's 3.9% decline, and in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, which decreased by 4.0%, compared to a 3.7% drop in the previous month. Furthermore, manufacturing prices experienced a decline of 0.4%, following a 0.3% increase in June. In contrast, prices for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services remained unchanged at 4.1%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices increased by 0.1% in July, recovering from a 0.2% decrease in the preceding month.
