In July 2025, housing starts in Canada experienced a notable increase of 3.7%, reaching 294,085 units compared to June's 283,523—a figure that surpasses the anticipated 265,000 units. Urban areas, specifically those with populations exceeding 10,000, saw a 4% year-over-year rise, culminating in 23,464 units.
