In June 2025, Thailand experienced a remarkable surge in retail sales, registering a 30.5% increase compared to the same period last year. This follows an impressive 26.1% rise in May. The growth was particularly pronounced in the non-durable goods sector, which expanded by 5.6% compared to May's 1.9% increase. This was largely driven by significant sales in specialized stores offering pharmaceutical and medical goods, cosmetics, and toiletries. Meanwhile, sales of durable goods witnessed a slight decline at -1.3%, improving from a -1.8% drop the previous month. On a month-to-month basis, retail activity declined by 3.4% in June 2025, a notable improvement from the 11.5% decrease recorded in May.
