In July 2025, Austria witnessed a 0.8% year-on-year decrease in producer prices, a slight improvement from the 0.9% decline observed in June. This represents the fourth consecutive month of reduction, primarily driven by decreasing costs in the energy sector, which fell by 2.2%, and intermediate goods, which saw a 1.4% drop. Conversely, prices for consumer goods and capital goods saw increases of 2.4% and 0.9%, respectively. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices experienced a 0.2% uptick in July, recovering from a 0.2% decrease in the prior month.
