Real wages in Slovakia experienced a year-on-year increase of 4.5% in the second quarter of 2025, marking the seventh straight period of growth and reaching its highest point since the same period in 2024. The average nominal monthly wage surged to 8.8%, amounting to EUR 1,654, up from the previous quarter's 4.9% increase. All 19 sectors under review posted annual growth in average nominal wages, with rises spanning from over 4% in the real estate industry to more than 16% in water management activities. Concurrently, real wages saw an uptick across all 19 sectors. Throughout the first half of 2025, the average nominal wage climbed by 6.9% to EUR 1,586, while real wages ascended by 2.8%.
