In July 2025, retail sales in the Czech Republic experienced a year-on-year increase of 2.5%, a deceleration from the upwardly revised 4.8% growth observed in the previous month and below the market's anticipated 4.3% rise. Sales activity slowed for automotive fuel, with an increase of 8.3% compared to 12.3% in June, and for non-food products, which grew by 3.5% as opposed to 5.9% previously. Conversely, there was a decline in sales of food, beverages, and tobacco, dropping to -0.9% from a previous gain of 0.7%. On a seasonally adjusted month-over-month basis, retail trade advanced by 0.3% in July, following an upward revision to 0.4%.
