In July 2025, Finland recorded a notable current account surplus of EUR 1,534 million, a substantial growth compared to the EUR 273 million seen in the same month of the previous year. This represents the highest surplus since June 2024. The impressive rise is largely attributed to a substantial increase in the goods account surplus, which surged to EUR 1,991 million from EUR 374 million a year prior. Conversely, the deficit in the services account widened to EUR 699 million from EUR 488 million, alongside an expansion in the secondary income deficit to EUR 204 million from the previous EUR 163 million. Additionally, the surplus in primary income decreased to EUR 446 million, down from EUR 546 million recorded during the same month last year.
