Singapore Tourist Arrivals Rise 4.5% in August

Singapore experienced a 4.5% year-on-year increase in international visitor arrivals in August 2025, reaching 1.6 million visitors, according to the latest data from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), released on Monday. China maintained its position as Singapore's largest source of tourists, contributing over 398,000 visitors for the month. This was followed by arrivals from Indonesia. Over the first eight months of 2025, foreign tourist numbers climbed to 11.6 million, reflecting a 2.7% rise compared to the same period the previous year. China remained the leading source of tourists with 2.3 million arrivals, followed closely by Indonesia and India. The STB had previously projected that visitor numbers for the whole of 2025 would range between 17.0 million and 18.5 million, contributing an estimated SGD 29.0 billion (US$22.6 billion) to SGD 30.5 billion in tourism revenue.
