India's BSE Sensex registered a slight decline of 0.2%, closing at 81,785.7 on Monday. This setback followed a five-session upward trend, primarily due to profit-taking in the IT and automotive sectors after their recent surge. Market participants became more cautious in anticipation of the US Federal Reserve's impending policy decision later in the week, while also monitoring any potential advancements in US-India trade relations. In terms of individual performances within the Sensex, Asian Paints, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, Titan, Sun Pharma, Tata Consultancy Services, Tech Mahindra, and Power Grid were the top decliners, losing up to 1.7%. Conversely, Bajaj Finance, Eternal, UltraTech Cement, and Reliance Industries emerged as the prominent gainers, with increases ranging from 0.3% to 0.8%.
