S&P 500, Nasdaq 100 Extend Record High

On Monday, U.S. stock markets ended on a higher note, buoyed by gains in the tech sector following President Donald Trump's positive remarks about U.S.-China trade negotiations. Investors were also anticipating the Federal Reserve's decision scheduled for Wednesday. The S&P 500 climbed by 0.4%, closing above the 6,600 threshold for the first time. The Nasdaq 100 increased by 0.8%, continuing its record-breaking streak, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by approximately 50 points. Tesla surged by 3.6% after CEO Elon Musk revealed a nearly $1 billion stock acquisition, marking his largest open-market purchase to date. Alphabet saw a 4.3% increase, reaching a $3 trillion valuation and strengthening communication services. However, Nvidia's shares remained steady, recovering from earlier declines after China's regulator accused the company of breaching anti-monopoly regulations. Conversely, Texas Instruments' stock dropped by 2.4% in response to a Chinese anti-dumping inquiry concerning U.S. analog chip manufacturers.
