In September 2025, Belgium's business confidence barometer climbed 1.0 point to -7.9 from August's -8.9, marking its highest point since April 2023. This boost was primarily driven by the construction sector, which improved from -9.4 to -5.8, marking its third consecutive month of gains due to an increase in orders and better assessments of order book levels, with residential construction seeing the most significant progress. The manufacturing sector experienced a slight rise from -10.5 to -10.4, buoyed by enhanced demand and employment expectations. In addition, the business-related services sector returned to positive figures, shifting from -0.5 to 0.1, while sentiment in the trade sector strengthened from -8.3 to -7.2, fueled by higher projections for supplier orders.
