US Futures Lower

On Thursday, U.S. futures continued to decline, with S&P 500 contracts decreasing by 0.5%, Nasdaq 100 futures dropping by 0.6%, and Dow Jones futures falling by roughly 120 points. Investors' attention remained on whether the Federal Reserve would implement another interest rate cut in the upcoming month, despite new data indicating continued strength in the U.S. economy and labor market. Revised figures showed that the GDP growth for the second quarter was 3.8%, an increase from the previous 3.3%. Initial jobless claims dropped to their lowest level since July, orders for durable goods unexpectedly increased, and the trade deficit in goods narrowed more than anticipated. Technology stocks were expected to remain under pressure at the market's opening. Intel reduced most of its earlier gains, trading just 0.4% higher in premarket activity following reports that the chipmaker had approached Apple for a possible investment. Meanwhile, Apple shares showed minimal change, and Oracle experienced a nearly 4% decline.
