Paraguay's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 5.9% in Q2 2025 compared to the same period last year, mirroring the growth rate of 5.9% seen in the first quarter. The increase was primarily fueled by robust performances in the services sector, which saw a rise of 6.8% up from 5.9% in Q1, and in utilities, which significantly increased to 14.3% from 8.3%. Meanwhile, the agricultural sector continued to decline but at a slower rate, decreasing by 3.1% compared to a 3.4% drop previously. Growth in other sectors moderated with construction expanding by 4.5% in comparison to 12.9% in Q1, and manufacturing up by 4.3%, down from a 6.8% increase. The sectors comprising livestock, forestry, fishing, and mining experienced slower growth, posting a rise of 4.8% compared to the previous 10.9% jump. On the expenditure side, domestic demand grew by 9.0%, slightly lower than the 10.2% growth recorded in the prior quarter.
