In the second quarter of 2025, Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a reduction in its current account deficit, which fell to BAM 383.2 million from BAM 410.4 million in the same quarter the year before. This improvement can largely be attributed to an increase in the secondary income surplus, which rose to BAM 1,406.7 million from BAM 1,390.4 million in Q2 2024. Additionally, there was a notable shift in primary income, which transitioned to a surplus of BAM 82.3 million, compared to a previous deficit of BAM 2 million. However, it is important to note that the deficit in goods and services expanded, reaching BAM 1,872.2 million, compared to BAM 1,798.9 million during the equivalent period last year.
