In August 2025, Croatia experienced a 3% year-on-year growth in industrial production, bouncing back from a 0.9% decline observed in the previous month. This surge represents the most robust expansion in industrial output since April, largely propelled by a significant increase in the manufacturing sector, which saw a boost of 6.2%, up from 0.9% in July. Notable contributions came from the production of computer, electronic, and optical products, as well as tobacco products, chemicals, and chemical products. Conversely, the decline in the production of electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply was less pronounced, with a decrease of 6.8% compared to a 10.2% drop previously. However, the mining and quarrying sector experienced a substantial contraction, with activity plummeting by 10.8%, following a minor increase of 0.1%. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the monthly industrial output saw a marginal rise of 0.1% in August, decelerating from the 1.4% growth recorded in the prior period.
