Bosnia and Herzegovina's economy experienced a year-on-year growth of 1.8% in the second quarter of 2025, building on a 1.7% increase in the previous quarter, according to preliminary estimates. This represents the sixth straight quarter of economic expansion. Key sectors driving this growth included information and communication, which saw a robust 4.6% increase; arts, entertainment, recreation, and other services, which rose by 3.6%; and wholesale, retail trade, and the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, alongside transportation, storage, and accommodation and food services, which grew by 3.0%. Additionally, the financial and insurance sector expanded by 2.8%, while professional, scientific, technical activities, and administrative and support services recorded a 2.4% increase. Manufacturing noted a modest rise of 0.7%. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the economy expanded by 0.6% compared to the previous quarter's 0.5% growth.
