In the second quarter of 2025, Brunei's economy experienced a year-over-year contraction of 0.3%, marking the third consecutive quarterly decline, albeit the smallest in the current sequence of downturns. However, on a quarterly basis, the GDP saw a sharper contraction of 5.7%, a further decline from the 5.1% decrease witnessed in the first quarter.
