In the second quarter of 2025, Morocco's economy experienced a noteworthy growth of 5.5%, an increase from the 4.8% recorded in the first quarter and a significant rise compared to the 2.4% observed in the same timeframe the previous year. This marks the most robust economic performance since the last quarter of 2021, primarily fueled by expansion in non-agricultural sectors, which grew by 5.5%. Specifically, the secondary sector saw an impressive rise of 7.4%, propelled by substantial growth in electricity, gas, water, sanitation, and waste treatment (8.9%), manufacturing (6.9%), and construction and public works (6.7%). The tertiary sector also realized a 4.8% boost, with notable contributions from the hotels and restaurants industry (10.5%), public administration and social security (4.8%), as well as the trade and vehicle repair sector (4.4%). Meanwhile, the agricultural domain expanded by 4.7%, although the fisheries sector experienced a decrease, contracting by 7.7%.
