According to preliminary data from the Trade Ministry, Turkey's trade deficit expanded to $6.9 billion in September 2025, compared to $5.2 billion in the same month the previous year. This represents the largest deficit since June. Imports surged by 8.8% year-on-year to $29.5 billion, whereas exports grew at a more modest rate of 3%, reaching $22.6 billion.
