In August 2025, Greece's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate declined to 8.1%, down from 8.3% in July. This represents the lowest unemployment rate observed since November 2008. The reduction in the jobless rate corresponds with a decrease in the number of unemployed individuals, which fell by 11,500 to a total of 383,800. At the same time, employment figures saw a slight decline, with 2,300 fewer employed individuals, bringing the total to 4.337 million. Additionally, the number of people not participating in the labor force increased by 11,600, reaching a total of 3.025 million.
