Mexico Consumer Confidence Eases in August

In September 2025, Mexico's consumer confidence index experienced a decline, slipping to 46.5—down by 0.2 points from the previous month, August. Households exhibited increased pessimism regarding both the current (-0.2 to 41.3) and future (-0.5 to 48.1) economic conditions of the country. Similarly, there was a decline in household confidence concerning their ability to make significant purchases, which dropped to 32.4 (-0.8). However, the indicator reflecting the expected economic situation of households remained stable at 58.6, while their current economic situation showed a minor improvement, rising by 0.2 to reach 52.0. Compared to the same period last year, overall consumer confidence saw a decrease of 0.5 points.
