In September 2025, Ecuador experienced a year-on-year increase in consumer prices of 0.72%, a slight decrease from the 0.81% observed in August. The food and non-alcoholic beverage sector showed the most notable reduction in annual inflation, dropping from 1.25% in August to 0.61%. This was followed by a slowdown in public services inflation, which decreased from 3.60% to 3.14%, and the hotels and restaurants sector, which eased from 1.27% to 1.23%. Additionally, on a monthly basis, consumer prices saw a modest rise of 0.08%, declining from the previous month’s increase of 0.31%.
